 Forgot your screen lock pattern?
If you’ve forgotten your screen lock pattern, you have up to five attempts to try and unlock your phone. If this fails, you can unlock the phone by entering your Google Account user name and password.

Forgot your Google Account password?
If you've forgotten your Google Account password, you can try to recover it through the Google website.

How do I enable or disable a device administrator app?

I see HTC Mini?+ under Settings. What is HTC Mini?+?

HTC Mini?+ is a companion device for HTC phones. If you need to multitask, such as browse the Web or read an email and take calls at the same time, you can purchase and use this device with your HTC phone.

Also, for phone models that don't have a built-in infrared sensor and the TV app, you can download the TV app and use HTC Mini?+ as your TV remote.

How do I enable developer's options?
If you want to develop apps for your phone, you can enable developer's options in Settings.

Why are Power saver and Extreme power saving mode both grayed out?
This happens when you turn on High performance mode under Developer options in Settings.

High performance mode requires additional battery power to maximize CPU performance. In this mode, both the Power saver and Extreme power saving mode features won't be available. If you want to use these features, turn off High performance mode.

I can't exit from an app. What should I do?
If pressing doesn't let you exit from an app, try to press and hold and POWER at the same time.

How do I share my phone's Internet connection with other devices?
You can share your phone's data connection through USB, Wi?-Fi, or Bluetooth®.

Go to Settings, tap More > Mobile network sharing, and then choose whether to share via USB tethering, Portable Wi?-Fi hotspot, or Bluetooth tethering.
Note:

    A data connection such as 3G is required. Contact your mobile operator for information on data charges. Extended use of your data connection, Wi?-Fi, or Bluetooth may drain the battery faster.
    Some features may not be available on all phones.

Why can't I use multi-finger gestures in my apps?
That's because Media gestures is enabled by default. This makes the three-finger gesture exclusive for sharing content or for use with HTC apps. You won't be able to use multi-finger gestures (gestures that use three fingers or more) for other purposes.

How do I know if my phone can be used in another country's local network?
Check any of the following:

    Check the network specs of your phone on the HTC website. Go to the website of the country where you bought the phone.
    Check the supported network band in the country where you will be traveling.
    Check if cross-country roaming has been activated by your mobile operator.

Can the phone automatically switch to the mobile network when Wi?-Fi is absent or weak?
Yes. You can set the phone to automatically switch to a mobile network when there's no available Wi?-Fi network or the signal is weak.

I sent some files via Bluetooth to my computer. Where are they?
When you send information using Bluetooth, the location where it's saved depends on the type of information and the receiving device. If you send a calendar event or contact, it is normally added directly to the corresponding application on the receiving device.

If you send another file type to a Windows® computer, it is normally saved in the Bluetooth Exchange folder within your personal document folders.

    On Windows XP, the path may be: C:\Documents and Settings\[your username]\My Documents\Bluetooth Exchange
    On Windows Vista, the path may be: C:\Users\[your username]\Documents
    On Windows 7, the path may be: C:\Users\[your username]\Documents\Bluetooth Exchange Folder
    On Windows 8, the path may be: C:\Users\[your username]\Documents

If you send a file to another device, the saved location may depend on the file type. For example, if you send an image file to another mobile phone, it may be saved in a folder named ?“?Images”.

What happens when I open a file received through Bluetooth?
When you open a file received via Bluetooth, what happens next depends on the file type:

    Media files and documents are usually opened directly in a compatible app. For example, if you open a music track, it starts playing in the Music app.
    For a vCalendar file, choose the calendar where you want to save the event, and then tap Import. The vCalendar is added to your Calendar events.
    For a vCard contact file, you can choose to import one, several, or all of those contacts to your contacts list.

Why doesn't the screen rotate when I turn the phone sideways?
If the screen doesn't rotate when you turn it sideways, first make sure that the Auto-rotate screen option is selected in Settings > Display, gestures & buttons. If Auto-rotate screen is already selected, try recalibrating the screen if the screen orientation doesn't respond properly to the way you hold your phone.

How do I add the access point to my mobile operator's network?
Most HTC phones are able to detect which mobile operator you're using based on the SIM card you inserted, and then use the preset Access Point Name (APN) to connect to your mobile operator's data network. You can add a new (APN) when roaming or if you have difficulty establishing a data connection.
